Howdy!
Thanks for visiting our site! We are a small family farm that raises poultry, pigs, rabbits, a cow and horses on 30 acres. My name is Steph and my primary role is homemaker for the family. My husband, Jim works a full time outside job and maintains the property around here. We have 4 boys here (Ethan, Jake, Luke and Eli) and 2 adult boys (Justin and Alec) that live off the farm. Yes, you read correctly... all those boys...hence the name, Rowdy!
Our farm is home to mostly heritage breeds of livestock. Most heritage breeds are rare and have not been "modified" as many industrial breeds of today. You can read more about our animals on their respective pages. We raise our animals with the most humane standards and in their most natural environment. They are free-range or in large pastures. We do put them up at night and don't allow our baby animals to range until it is safe for them to.
We are located near the Kentucky/West Virginia border off of Hwy 522 on the edge of the Wayne National Forest. Conveniently 10 minutes from Wheelersburg, OH; 15 minutes from Portsmouth, OH; 30 minutes from Ashland, KY and 40 minutes from Huntington, WV.
As of now, we are in the process of switching most of our livestock to heritage breeds. Therefore, availablity of certain breeds and meats are limited.
Look for our farm blog..coming soon. It will include stories on farm life, observations on current events from a farming perspective and tips for living a natural, non-toxic lifestyle.
